Arctic air moving through central Oklahoma!!!

Strong arctic air is now moving into central parts of the state. Behind this front expect strong northwest winds and rapidly falling temperatures with wind chills in the teens. We will see lows tonight around 17 with wind chills near zero. Wednesday will be very cold with strong northwest winds that may exceed 40 mph and temperatures that will not get out of the upper 20's with winds chills in the teens for the majority of the day. Thursday morning will be the coldest low of the season around 12 degrees. We will remain chilly through Saturday and we will warm up to 50 degrees Sunday, but this warm up will not last. We will have another shot of arctic air that will send temperatures falling on Monday with highs on Monday and tuesday in the upper 30's with a slight chance of snow on Monday and Tuesday. Take precautions if you have to get out tonight, so that if you get stranded you will stay warm. Take blankets and bundle up in a HEAVY coat. Until tomorrow stay warm and safe.
