SLEET/FREEZING RAIN/SNOW EXPLANATION
Above our heads at the highest layer everything falls as snow. When the snow falls if temperatures at all levels are below freezing it will be snow. If it hits a large layer of warm air above our heads, then it will melt and may fall as freeing rain. If it melts above our head and then hits a thin layer and melts and then re-freezes it falls as sleet.
