WHITE CHRISTMAS POSSIBLE FOR OKLAHOMA UPDATE 12/17/2009

Temperatures next week will be cold and a storm track that will dive south of us may produce a decent chance of seeing snow and may lead to a white christmas. Models are not as strong on the snow, but temperatures look like they will be cold. I believe that we will see some snow. The radiosonde soundings for Oklahoma City next week suggests temperatures at all layers of the atmosphere could all be below freezing. The exact track is not known for sure, but it looks like it will move south of Oklahoma and producing snow for a good portion of the states. Right now I have a high on Tuesday of 44 and christmas eve of 30. These cold temperatures could last well to near New Years Eve. As always I will be watching this carefully and post updates. Here is hoping for a white christmas.
