Triple digit weather is coming back with a vengeance. Over the next few days, Dew points will increase, and this will lead to unbearable heat. We will likely reach 100 tomorrow, and this heat will continue through next week. We have had a few days of relief, but the big heat dome is about to take over. Lows at night will increase, and this is a result of higher dew points. Basically, if the dew point is 76, temperatures can not fall below the dew point. August will likely go down as the hottest August ever, but temperatures will start falling in September.
Heat Safety: Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water before you leave the house, and do not wait until you are thirsty. Wear plenty of sunscreen, take plenty of breaks and try to stay inside. It is advised to check up on the elderly, for their bodies cannot take the heat, so they need to stay inside as much as possible. Take precautions before heat exhaustion and heat strokes occur. Stay safe.
